Who We Are

Porter County Government Commissioners are elected officials who are responsible for overseeing the county's management and administration, representing county interests at the state and federal level, participate in long-range planning, and ensuring citizen concerns are met.

Commissioner Biggs represents Jackson, Liberty, Pine, Portage and Westchester Townships. In addition to his duties as Commissioner, he serves on the Porter County Non-Profit Charitable Foundation, Recycling & Waste Reduction District and Storm Water Managment Boards.

Commissioner Regnitz represents Center, Washington and Union Townships. In addition to her duties as Commissioner, she serves on the Porter County Non-Profit Charitable Foundation, Recycling & Waste Reduction District and Storm Water Management Boards.

Commissioner Blaney represents Boone, Morgan, Pleasant and Porter Townships. In addition to her duties as Commissioner, she serves on the Porter County Non-Profit Charitable Foundation, Recycling & Waste Reduction District and Storm Water Management Boards.

Southern District 1

Members of the Porter County Government Council are also elected officials. The seven member County Council serves as the fiscal branch of county government and has the ultimate decision making power regarding fiscal affairs. The council has authority to view or review fiscal matters, determine proper policy, and set priorities for the allocation and expenditure of county funds.

Council Member Stone also serves as an ex-officio member of the Porter County Government Charitable Non-Profit Foundation Board.

Council Member Graham also serves on the Recycling & Waste Reduction District, Porter County Council On Aging, Emergency Management Advisory and Juvenile Justice Advisory Boards. She also serves as an ex-officio member of the Porter County Government Charitable Non-Profit Board.
